Kenneth Gordon Sundberg, 63, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday, March 21st, 2022. Born on May 9, 1958 in Rockford, Illinois to Howard and Bonita Sundberg. Ken graduated from Guilford High School (Rockford, IL) in 1976. On May 19, 1979 he married the love of his life Nancy (Johnson). Together they had three children: Gregory, Jon (Cassandra Holloway) and Elizabeth (Dustin Rogers). Ken also left behind his beloved dog, Sammy. After 28 years working at Hamilton sunstrand, he became the caregiver for his wife Nancy. In 2020, they decided to head out to Colorado Springs for their firstborn grandchild, Axel Kenneth Sundberg. This definitely allowed for some great family moments that we will treasure forever! Ken was an amazing man, son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He loved with everything he had and was a man of his word. Ken will be deeply missed by all who knew him! He was predeceased by his son Gregory, father Howard and loving in-laws, Ernest and Susan Johnson. Ken left a hole in the heart of his wife Nancy, Jon and Cassandra (Axel), Elizabeth and Dustin, his mother Bonita, sister Pat (David) Onken, nephew James (Katie) Onken, niece Jessica (Nicole) Onken, other family members and many close friends. As of now, the family is broken hearted and mourning together in Colorado Springs. Future arrangements may be made for a celebration of life in Rockford, IL.
